Creating Windows 8.1 Recovery Discs

Tried to burn recovery discs for a new Dell laptop. It only allowed 1 DVD disk before it was ejected before it had completed. Using an 8GB datastick the recovery download was completed. Why does it not allow additional discs for completion of the download?

Did you get an error report when it rejected the DVD? Might have been a bad disk. It won't accept RW disks only Write once disks.

I used a Verbatim DVD-R 4.7GB .disc. I was going to try a RW next, so thanks for the warning,

I phoned Dell support, they are sending recovery discs to me. It may be a known problem awaiting a solution.

Thanks for the feedback. Did you try to burn the recovery program to a flash drive in stead of DVDs?
