Creating customized recovery images for Win8

AS with all Windows back up and recovery strategies its not as plain sailing as Microsoft make out. I created a custom refresh image a while back and as a test tried the restore option, guess what "Image not recognised" So I would suggest don't depend on it with no fall back.

My fail safe is Acronis True Image 11 but I never actually install it, just boot it from USB.
