Can't upgrade to Vista on FAT32?

Hi, I just registered and have a question. I have an Asus F3Jc notebook running XP Media Centre 2005, and its C: partition is formatted in FAT32. I've read that an upgrade to Vista cannot be done on a FAT32 drive, instead you have to do a clean install and let Vista reformat in NTFS. Is this correct? I'm waiting for an express upgrade disc at present, and wondering will it be halted in its tracks...

Vista uses a slightly different NTFS format. There’s a description click here scroll down to Transactional NTFS.

Thanks for reply. So there's no way to actually run Vista on FAT32?

In a word no. You must convert to NTFS.
