  lignum vitae 12 Jul 11

I have purchased a new computer running windows seven and I am trying to connect a canoscan 25.i have checked and this scanner is compatible with driver download.this I have done and the system confirms I have the most up to date driver installed.the scanner is shown as working ok.when I try to use it I get the response"no application registered for this event". To try and get round this I downloaded the Canoscan tool box but when I use this i get"No twain driver source" can anyone help please...thanks in advance.

Take a look at this thread which was a similar problem listed earlier. Canon scanners are very picky about the order in which the drivers are installed and when the scanner is connected and switched on. Have a read, try the suggestions out and come back if you still have a problem.

This may sound silly,my sister had the same problem, threatened to throw the laptop, brand new, and scanner out the window for the same reason. So i bought the lot off her, bargain. When i went to set it up i turned the scanner upside down and noticed a switch.I turned this switch on and the scanner "connected" and worked perfectly.Wonder if yours is the same.
