I tried, but gave up after multiple attempts. Not too bothered though because I use iTunes.
For W7 it's Windows Media Player 12, however try this: Turn Windows Features on/off to reinstall Media Player using control panel
lotvics suggestion was just one of the many tries I made. I hope you have better luck, my Windows Features only showed an empty window.
