broad band spped test results

running win 8.1 with 1 Tb hd, 356 Gb used, 4 Gb RAM, with 50 Mb virgin broadband, have done a broadband speed test with the following results: 42.08 mbps download speed and 3.01 mbps upload speed and 24 ms ping, is this good, bad or average, thanks

A lot can depend on the server. Here in Norwich there are 2 servers that show on Oopla . I have 60mbs on Virgin and get somewhere near that on one of the servers but the other one has trouble getting over 20mbs

Conrail, your download speed and ping are very good for an "up to" 50mbps package. I think your upload speed is a tad disappointing but don't worry as that's normal for Virgin Media fibre optic broadband.
