Adobe flash player doesnt work.

  geggs 15 Jul 13

Hi, I cant seem to get adobe flash player to work. I have a HP pavilion windows 7 laptop with a 64 bit operating system and IE 10. However I can no longer play media files such as videos from the BBC news website and each time I try it says I need to download the latest version of adobe flash player. Well I've uninstalled it and re-installed it dozens of times to no avail! Please help!

Ah - could be an IE10 prob with active x controls, go into options advanced and enable active x scripts.

My Thread BBC and Adobe appear to have fallen out.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Air, Flash and Shockwave to no effect. I have an email form the BBC admitting the problem and saying that they are working on it. I still have to reinstall Flash, after every reboot, even though it appears to be already installed on the PC.

Hi, It appears to have been solved, my partner downloaded Adobe Acrobat in order to read PDFs and somehow now I can now view video's again. I still have no idea why it stopped working in the first place, maybe the ghost of Vista! Thanks for your replies.
