Hi there,

I had an Acer Aspire 5715z with Vista Home in it. I used to encrypt files using edatasecurity. Now I have a new HP Pavilion dv6 with windows 7 (gifted to me). The old Acer laptop has gone for charity. I now have encrypted files from the Acer laptop. All I want to know is how can I decrypt the same in HP? Is there any software or driver that I can download which converts and decrypts acer encrypted files?

I have no access to any other Acer laptop and the data is really important to me :(. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

I am not familiar with that security suite ,but surely if you download the latest edata security management software direct from acer support ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/notebook/empoweringtechnology/utility/as94107110tm56105110/eDataSecurity2.0.3076.zip

you should have some way to recover the files .
