Thought more people would see it in Speakers Corner than tucked away in Mobile World!

I've owned a few of phones from the video, and some of them I've never even heard of.

One couple of factoids in the video stood out...

40% of Americans own a cellphone, compared to 80% of Europeans.

Americans dispose of 130mn handsets a year.

The latest US population estimate is 304,132,000.

40% of this is 121,652,800.

Therefore US cell phone users, on average, change their phone at least once a year.

Not my current one but a load of them starting at the Nokia RinGo. First mobiles I used where the RinGo, Alcatel one touch and the Philips Diga phone. Oh the memories of trying to fit it in your pocket.

Interesting stuff,

It had a few i used to have, the Nokia 7110,
I remember when i first got it i was sat in my local and it rang, so i picked it up, pressed the button on the back to flip the cover down and answered it,

A guy behind me shouts out "wow mate just like the phone from the matrix"

Thats one thing i liked about the 7110 is that it was very similar to the phone in the first matrix film with the automatic flip cover.

It still is today my favorite mobile phone.

Still, i wonder what the phones of the future will be like???
