Wouldn't it be nice if we could have images in our threads instead of a link?

Was a comment that MechKB 2 made in another thread.

I have to say that I think he has a very good point. It's a while since PCA updated, but I think the update was already obsolete at the time.

I would think that the obvious next update would be to adopt the 'timeline' styles of input that other media use.

QB - can you explain what 'timeline' styles of input means, please.

  Quickbeam 11:32 30 Jul 14

As used on facebook and similar media contact apps.

  Aitchbee 11:37 30 Jul 14

Thanks QB. I have never used any social media contact apps - apart from PCA forums.

"Odd as I have seen this on other forums I use."

What, the timeline input, or the porn spam?

  Quickbeam 12:18 30 Jul 14

Tongue in cheek MechKB 2 tongue in cheek...

I think it would slow the site down to an unacceptable degree. There are already many complaints about the speed of this site, without adding an extra overhead

Yes, I've no idea what you mean by that. It isn't something I associate with general interest fora, but then I don't think of them as social media either.

Anyway, there is bound to be a truly fantabulous reason why we can't have photos.

If it is not too difficult (or expensive) then perhaps a trial period to see the outcome.

  Quickbeam 13:09 30 Jul 14

The old ones are the best:-)
