Once sentenced,the disparity continues.Get a long prison sentence for a "cash" crime and the 1st thing the parole board considers is how much of your "proceeds of crime" can be recovered,if none of the money can be returned then your unlikely to be granted parole at the 1st hearing.Appear infront the parole board having killed someone and the board will ask if you ever intend to do it again,answer no and you can be released on licence within 2yrs of being given a life sentence.
