Done hundreds of hours of research into RSD, came acroos a paper last week that says you are more susceptible to RSD if you smoke because 61.5% of suffers do.
Wonder what percentage of fiddling MP,s smoke or diving footballers do they have a crafty drag when no ones around, how about speeding motorists or even terrorists.
no this paper was later than that. stated that 61.5% of the study group smoked, seems very flimsy reason for trying to make a claim that smoking made you susceptible. So you could you such reasoning to blame smoking for every other thing which is why I made the facetious comments in the OP
Obviously not the paper to which you refer, but here's a paper on the subject. It refers to there being a strong statistical link between RSD and cigarette smoking.
I think it's important to make the point that a statistical link isn't the same as a proven association - it simply means that there are statistics which indicate that there may be a causal effect. Nobody is suggesting that your RSD is definitely the result of smoking - if you do smoke, that is.
Comments about footballers, politicians, speeding motorists, and terrorists are totally irrelevant in this context.
had specialist come to the house to examine me on 24th. Didn't object to me smoking but asked about it. Told him had got down to 16 a day before the RSD but went up to over 30, strugling but had got down to 20. He said you shouldn't even be trying to give up with what you are going through.
