There are a lot of good teachers in the system many of whom have to face the louts of this world in their daily duties. Fortunately my son hade very good teachers and progressed well (along with many others) at his School. So they must be doing something right.

I'm sure there are a lot of good teachers and I took that into account in saying "some of the people - - -".
The quotation I gave was from George Bernard Shaw who may have had a reputation of knowing what he was talking about.

There are an awful lot of very poor teachers as well as there are poor members of other professions.
