Found guilty of infringing on patented iPhone features Samsung has been ordered to pay Apple $119m (£71m) in damages, but Apple wanted $2.2bn (£1.3bn). Should Samsung have received a larger fine?

Korean company v US company in a US court?

No contest!

You are probably right there morddwyd but without anybody having in depth knowledge of the case a poll such as this is just a lottery as to which button someone chooses.

Wouldn't apple make more money in the profit column if they just licensed out their patented technology like other companies do?

Quickbeam, I strongly suspect you are right but, can't see it happening.
