My grass is about 4 feet tall as I've not had a dry day to cut it in the last three weeks.

Garden is a jungle, just rain rain rain, and gale force winds forecast for today and the weekend.

Central heating asking to come on mornings now.....The long range forecast suggests an early winter with November bringing ice and snow!

Oh to be in NZ for their springtime :))

very odd in the garden, tomatoes only just turning red been very slow to ripen, apples were many times more than normal but never grew to an eatable size [had to put in vitamix and made apple sauce] the purple plums were twice the size as normal but most went moldy before getting soft. only good result loads of larger than normal figs which ripened ok but for the first time many were eaten by birds.

No problem with the grass. Rain hasn't been a major problem on the east Coast of Lincolnshire, cold and grey has been the big problem.

I've only cut the grass 5 times all year! I put that down to the dry spring, April and May had almost no rain at all which left the water table low all summer, but it's making up for the drought so far this month. I might even have to cut the grass twice this month...
