WGA

On the Consumerwatch section someone asked what
did WGA mean.
One of the replies was-
"If you owned copyright material I'm sure that you would want to ensure that no one was robbing you."

Got me thinking how silly many of us are.

My friend Bill lends me his new 'invention' for free and kindly asks to to fully test it out for him.

After a while I gave it back to him,so that he could make the necessary changes.
He then gives it back to me for further testing.

After many many more hours of final testing I
returned his invention back to him.Bill was very
happy and said -
"Thankyou very much.If you would like to use it in
the future then you can buy one for +/- £300".

I did'nt know what to say!
But ,that's our Bill ;he's a very clever man.
What does that make us? An easy touch?

I do admire his blind followers.....see below...

looks like we are unknown / untold guinea pigs for most of Bills little escapades (i mean windows updates) and judging by the last batch that caused havoc with loads of computers - they are not testing them anywhere else either.

...but I am certainly bottom of the paranoia and self-importance class.

Vista is in Beta at the moment and errrrmmmm....you have no need to test it, this appears to be a concept that is foreign to you so I'll repeat it - you do NOT need to test it. When it is released it will probably be as stable as XP and more stable than any OS you could come up with. I'm sure that the sun is affecting some here. It could also be argued that Vista is a developement and not an invention, an important nuance to some people.

As you knew that you would have to pay for the programme after testing and still went ahead to test it (I feel a 'doh!' moment arriving), I would say that your statement...'But ,that's our Bill ;he's a very clever man' is accurate for him but way off the mark for you.

pip! pip! and doh!

Taking hallucinogenics and trying to write at the same time usually results in public ridicule.

I'm surprised that you wasted any time on posting such nonsense, for nonsense it surely is.

I fyou don't want to pretest new software don't - but please don't waste other peoples' valuable time by trying to make something out of nothing.
