Viking Burial Site - Weymouth

Not sure if this was covered in the past but I thought I would post some interesting pictures I have just discovered.

Basically, back in 2009, during the opening stages of construction of the Weymouth Relief Road, excavators uncovered a burial site. As our company is working on the site, they took a few photos, which I have only just seen.

I believe Time Team may have done a programme on it, but I thought I would post the pictures I have as they are very interesting.

Thanks for bringing this horrific bit of history to our attention. It is from a time that I am particularly interested in and also a part of the country that has ancestral connections for me.
