Wonder what 'bribes' will be offered to ensure that the Irish vote 'Yes' to the Lisbon Treaty. And we don't even get one vote.

That will be their answer a second time.

they will go through this process before the 'powers that be' understand the word "NO" or will it just go on and on and on until they get the 'Yes' they seem to be desperately seeking.

And there's the lesson for anyone in this country who thinks we should have a referendum.

No matter what the result the referendum will be repeated until the EU gets the answer it wants.

That's why the government didn't bother with all the expense of holding one in the first place.

The trouble is that if you give in to a bully enough you become his slave. The EU only believes in free will if it meets their demands.

This is becoming a worrying trait that supposedly democratic bodies are trying to change votes which do not meet their wishes by asserting that the voters either didn't understand the question or didn't really mean what they said.
Rather like the criminal who argues "I know she said no, but she really meant yes"

if they vote no again do they get 3rd vote [and more consesions] and so on till they get fed up voting and say yes.

Its a bit like surveys and questionnaires, if the answer fits its accepted, if it doesn't fit its rejected.

On our daily calender today it states "Democracy is a process by which people are free to choose the person who will get the blame". Perhaps an apt phrase in todays modern world!.
