Time Flies

Just 60 years since I joined the RAF, and 20 since I left it!

Doesn't time fly?

At this rate I'll soon have been out of a uniform longer that I was in it!

Time flies but you're the pilot - were you a pilot?

How very true about how "Times Flies". Only the other day I was thinking about past deeds and doings, and wondered were I went wrong?.

I wake up every day, wondering if I had died the day before, and missed something, or is that senile thoughts?.

the second, was defined originally as the fraction 1/86 400 of the mean solar day.

it is now defined as - the duration of 9192631770 periods of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the cesium 133 atom.

Just like changing the coinage fro LSD to decimal perhaps we've been short changed again and time isn't what it used to be.

Are Time Flies related to House Flies?

Reminiscing is good for the soul - those good old daze.

Thanks for the explanation Fruit Bat. I thought it was my imagination that times have changed.

I'm with Jock1e on this one - used to be good at mental arithmetic when I was at school, now I am just mental.

The older you get the faster time seems to pass. When you're doing something enjoyable it flies by, and when you're bored the clock seems to grind to a stop.
