LG G6 review: Hands-on with LG’s bold, big-screen shot at perfection
ISIL have burnt alive the captured Jordanian pilot. This follows the beheading of many people including 2 Japanese.
Surely the time has come for a UN resolution to take "All available means" to destroy this abominable regime? It seems that only a massive UN response will stop these people. I suppose the Chinese and / or Russia might veto such a proposal. The time for a diplomatic solution is over.
The UN may well call for or issue a resolution and the world may look in anger and horror but the only people who should be fighting these psychopaths are too afraid or unwilling to act,the Muslims themselves. The only way they can be eradicated is a ground war which will entail a massive loss of life, a prospect that ISIL are fully in favour of.
kad292 has it.
Until the whole of the Muslim Hierarchy, both Sunni and Shia, declare them apostate, if that is a suitable term, there can be no resolution.
"abominable" "savagery" "despicable"
By using such emotive language you are demonstrating the total lack of-understanding of these zealots.
They see themselves as simply doing God's will, as we see celebrating communion, or going to confession.
It's a different God, and different standards, but it is their culture, and the longer we take to understand that, the longer it will take to change it.
They see themselves as simply doing God's will
Does the Koran specify the burning alive of a fellow Muslim? The deafening silence from senior Muslim clerics is amazing. Hitler and his ilk thought they were right to carry out the Holocaust , and the only way they were stopped was by a war. This ISIL "caliphate" is evil , even by Muslim standards.
"Hitler and his ilk thought they were right to carry out the Holocaust , and the only way they were stopped was by a war. "
Exactly so! It is no good pussyfooting around with jail sentences, sanctions, removal of citizenship and the like.
The jihadists are fighting a war, and the sooner we start doing the same the better.
Plotting to overthrow the state is treason and it's time these people took a trip on the Thames.
Traitors' Gate still only opens one way.
"It's a different God,"
Different a name maybe, but the same single God as the rest of the single God cults.
Is there no depth to which ISIL will not sink?
I think the amswer is no. A former ex general of the Jordan military said that you couldn't talk to uncivilized people and he is right. In biblical terms you may think of these people as coming from hell. They can only understand violence and nothing else.
How does it go, oh yes :-
“In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful."
Somehow Isil and Boko Haram seem to be able to ignore this most significant point. No beneficence, mercy or signs of the most minuscule scrap of humanity between the lot of them.
I have said it before and I will say it again, we should not become involved in this beyond the involvement we already have. This is an Arab problem and it is for the Arab states to solve it, do we really want to commit our army to another expedition in the middle easr following our last two great success? (That's irony in case you were wondering)
This bestial medieval organisation is just the latest manifestation of this supposed religion of peace! Do we really want to witness our soldiers being burnt to death or crucified by these animals? I would hazard that we don't!
It is time for Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and Iran to take the lead in exterminating this scum, they all have very well equipped modern armies, armed by the west with the latest technology with which to make short work of this ragtag organisation, we can help with air power and advice if necessary, but this is basically an Arab problem and the solution to it lies with them.
There is plenty we can do at home, by making this country so unpleasant a place for the jihadists that they will take their death cult some place else. Any and every person found to have gone to Syria or Iraq to fight should immediately loose their citizenship and never be allowed to return here.
But ultimately putting western forces back into Syria would be a mistake of monumental proportions. We are supposed to learn the lessons of history not keep on repeating it's mistakes!
