Not only did i have my first turkey curry a week before Christmas, but I've just had a nice toasted buttered hot cross bun!

So you won't be one of the people who complain about the dates on our magazine issues then?

  Bingalau 15:37 01 Jan 07

FE. Nice one. You've got him there. ..Bingalau..

Oh you mean the Feb issue coming out in December?

  Mr Mistoffelees 16:06 01 Jan 07

Our local Tesco sells hot cross buns all year round, they're OK.

Our local baker, just 50yds from home, only sells them around Easter. They are well worth the wait :-)

Magazine dating is so silly I've learnt to ignore the date when my mag lands inside the front door.

  Amyfa 18:50 01 Jan 07

You can get cream eggs all year.

  WhiteTruckMan 19:23 01 Jan 07

are like that because we are north of the equator. People south of it are just getting Octobers issue on the newsagents shelfs as we speak. This is because the position of the printers varies through the print run due to the tilt in the earths axis. The calculations done to measure the exact offset from the actual date is known as the correctional relationship association, printers.

Thank goodness! At least one reader understands why we do it. Not sure about that acronym, though.
