It's gripping stuff ... the last frame lasted 64 minutes!

Bingham, ranked 10, is fighting for this Championship. I hope he wins.

Two great gentlemen, one in defeat and one in victory. Best snooker I've watched in years. Unbelievable skills from both.

mike` , you're entitled to your opinion and good for you for posting. I'm the same when Football is concerned.

Rumpelteazer , so would I but on here at the same time at the start. It's very unusual for me to abandon the PC for the TV but that's what I did tonight.

mike` Wash your mouth out! , that's a red card if ever I saw one.

It could also be an in-off!

I thought it was a gripping final and the high standard of play was maintained throughout despite the pressure.

Nice to watch a sport that doesn't exhibit professional fouls.

Indeed, it's amazing how the game has changed - when I were but a lad snooker halls were generally dens of iniquity, filled with all sorts of dubious characters.

It then changed and became, as was said, a sport where players actually call fouls against themselves. How different from the play-acting soccer 'stars' who would recite Hamlet if they thought it would get them a penalty (and maybe get another fellow player sent off!).
