Sky Lollipop Channels on Freeview

I use Freeview not Vigin or Sky, just Freeview.

Why do Sky have so many what I call Lollipop channels on Freeview ?

They start a series like Warehouse 13 or a rerun of Star Trek Voyager then up pops the message that it's been transferred to a pay per view Sky channel.

It would appear they are not getting enough £Millions from the adverts.

I left Sky a few years ago & replaced the pay-per-view with a Freesat box.I don't miss all the repeats one bit, only disadvantage is losing Dave but as I can get that online (if I remember) I don't miss the World Rally Championships.
