Sky boxes

The heading for the poll now being run I think has the wrong title, it should read.

"What gadget or technology WOULD you most like to buy in 2011?"

If it did I know straight away what I would like to buy, a SKY + box that lasted longer than 18 months, or a SKY+HD box that has lasted 13 months and is now dead.

Wonder why Sky has never sold boxes that are designed to last.

My last but one Sky+ box is in the loft having given sterling service since about 2002 and my my last one is still in service as part of my multiroom since about 2005.

However, my current, HD, box is only a year old so there's still time!

One of us has had better luck than the other!

My duaghter is on her second hd box in 18 months, the first one last less that 6 months and the lastest one is no outside the 12 month warranty period and is starting to play up. I guess that what come from using Amstrad boxs that appear to be built down to a price.
