Sandy Bridge ~ What's Intel up to?

  wee eddie 15:24 08 Feb 11

On 3/2/11 we have a News Break that Intel are recalling all Sandy Bridge Processors and 4 days latter we have a similar News Break telling us that Intel are shipping Sandy Bridge Processors with no reference to the previous one.

There is nothing in the second Break to say that the new Processors are free of the problem that caused the re-call of the first lot.

Do they feel that there is no need for an explanation? Or! Have they become so High & Mighty that they feel that they can do whatever they want?

Seemingly:"Intel claims it decided to start reshipping the chipsets after lengthy discussions with computer manufacturers. "As a result of these discussions and specific requests from computer makers,' says the company, 'Intel is resuming shipments of the Intel 6-series chipset for use only in PC system configurations that are not impacted by the design issue."

Make of that what you will.
