Badly written article - Nato leaders including Gordon Brown (ie he is one of the Nato leaders) and the Russian President are meeting. Russia is not part of NATO.

Perhaps they should be persuaded to join, after all, like NATO they've made a pig's ear of Afghanistan, as has everyone who's tried to "pacify" it, since before Ghengis Khan.
