Recycle disc?

What can anyone do with old CDs/DVDs? Can they bee used for anything other than coasters and scaring away the birds? I have loads of freebies from newspapers, unusable CD-Rs etc. and have nothing to do with them.

Polycarbonate is a recylceable material

I too thought they were recyclable until I was informed that I`d be fined if I put them in my Recycle Bin.

Different Authorities seem to have variable recycle regimes.
I guess they cannot cater for all recyclable material.
Ours does not like whit plasic food pots - Margarine/Yoghurt-.

Give them to chavs, they will use them as make-up mirrors, saw it on the bus once.
