At long last Mark Ramprakash secured the historic landmark of a 100th first-class century on the fourth day of Surrey's County Championship match at Yorkshire. Ramprakash ended his wait for a milestone he has been waiting since his last 100 at the end of May. The ex-England batsman has scored more than 2,000 runs at an average of more than 100 during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. The 38-year-old has also scored more than 30,000 runs in a career which has seen him play for Middlesex, Surrey & England.
Which of course makes him a member of a very elite club. Well done.
Yes, it's a brilliant achievement, and one which I doubt will be repeated now with the way the game has gone. It's a shame that he simply could not perform to his full potential in the international arena.
Interview with Mark click herecrosstrainer, yes it's a pity he could not perform in internationals better, but his average the last 2 years has led the county averages.
