The age of criminal responsibility should be raised from 10 to 12, says England's children's commissioner.

If, by the age of 10, a child cannot understand the difference between right and wrong, their gormless parent's should be banged up.

If a child is old enough to commit a crime, then that child is old enough to be held responsible.

The response from the Ministry of Justice is based solely on one fact.

There must be a general election in the next three months and the merest sign of support for this idea would be a big vote loser.

As usual,GANDALF is spot on.....

Attaboy, GANDALF <|:-)> !!

Seriously though, if the child is not responsible then the parents should be.

Children are like puppies - very lovable but very wilful and destructive until, or unless, trained.

Now don't go all aghast on me; we are, after all, part of the animal kingdom, with mammalian responsibility for our young according to species.

Once again, I'm heartened to see people really thinking things through.
