Radiator Reflectors

Is it worth fitting Radiator Reflectors?
EON have a set for £21 which would be enough for our rads.

Or you could use cardboard & tin foil, does the same job and will cost a lot less...

If the radiators are on outside walls yes, even if they are not that seems to be a reasonable price to convect heat away from going into the inner walls.

Any way of retaining heat is worthwile. Silver reflectors should be fitted. alan14 is right.

Thanks for all comments.
Our walls are solid and about 20" plus thick, I had thought that some of the heat from the rads was retained in the walls for benefit later.
I think that I must make the investment.

will certainly retain heat. The problems are

1. They'll take a very long time to warm up.

2. They'll lose as much of the heat they store to the outside air as they will to the inside of the house.

Use the radiator reflectors, they're pretty efficient.
