I dipped into the speech by Her Majesty after I had done so with 'the alternative'; I appreciated the comments made by both; however, one major difference; I could actually see the expression and feeling on the face of the Queen; the 'alternative' left me feeling I am missing something as I could not see her facial expression and therefore how she was feeling ;yes, she was speaking, but a vital element of communication was , for me , missing

proved to be an interesting exercise

and I still respect Her Majesty as our Monarch

Long may she reign.

A certain leading member of the Government could learn a very great deal from this remarkable lady, who very rarely puts a foot wrong.

I agree with you.

apart from a somewhat glaring mistake some years ago,(wont go into that here) must say I agree with you
I admire her resilience; she is said to have suffered from sciatica which, beleive you me is painful ; she refused to stop working

I also suffer from sciatica - thanks to moving heavy flagstones around on my own on behalf of my daughter about 15 years ago...:-(
