Could we see a wind change by Jan 16th?

  bri-an 21:53 09 Jan 10

They were talking about this on the TV weather and the analogy was that we have a big block of 'concrete cold' on top of us and they simply don't know if these winds will be able to shift it.

Let's hope so!

it'll get warmer again. I'm bored with the snow now... snow begone!

there will definitely be a warmer spell.

in 1947 they were still hacking the ice off the pavements in late August in Derbyshire.

I predict it will warm up one day before the thermal clothing that I have ordered arrives.

I'm glad someone else remembers 1947 because those I've mentioned it to don't believe me.

This is almost like Summer compared to 1947

Well done just what I needed now perhaps my Children and Granchildren will believe me and some of my neighbours also. I've printed off all the Pictures Thankyou. I was 16 at the time and there was no thing like Central Heating we all huddled around 1 Coal fire (Mum, Dad, my 2 Sisters 1 Brother and me the youngest). We didn't moan but just got on with things people are soft today. Mind i must admit I'd be lost without the Central Heating today.
