Oxford Airport plans to change its name to London Oxford Airport click here.

Only two of the current "London" airports Heathrow and City could really be said to be in Greater London, prefixing Stanstead and Luton with 'London' was daft enough but an airport 62 miles from London really is pushing it too far.

Or is it?

"pushing it too far"

It certainly is. And think of all the bemused Americans who'll stagger off their plane at London Oxford and ask "Hey, buddy, how do I get to Buckingham Palace?".

Quite right too. There is no life (apart from the riff raff) outside London. Innit?

Ex-Germany people may be interested to know that Laarbruch is now "Dusseldorf (Weeze)"

It's a good one hour drive, even with no autobahn speed limits!
