On the label attached to my partner's new bra: "No oven drying or unwatering allowed."

  lisa02 09:27 18 Nov 06

It's means no drying out in an oven (not unheard of) and no wringing out because it'll get out of shape.

It sounds like one of those things that are just translated literally straight out of a dictionary in some foreign country, But then with more and more things made abroad these days it is to be expected.

oven, people used to toast their undies... but I think it means tumble dryer.

Label made in China perhaps!.

Bit like a shoe instruction label I saw recently. 'Not to be worn in wet weather'. And these were a pair of standard leather shoes. What's the world coming to!.

I am sure there must be many more examples of this sort of thing out there.

It could be very dangerous on some products.

I'm worried about the wording on a pair of my underpants "do not expose to flames"

  Cymro. 13:15 18 Nov 06

Are you bragging Wiz-king?

  €dstowe 13:53 18 Nov 06

"do not expose to flames"

Should that read "old flames"

Like the bag of peanuts with the warning "May contain nuts"

The tesco cake box with the words printed "DO NOT TURN UPSIDE DOWN" on the bottom of the box!
