Novel way to keep W Yorks crime figures down?

We've just had a leaflet put through the letter box advising what we can expect from the police and others when it comes to crime and anti-social behaviour.

When we wish to report such behaviour and it's not deemed an emergency, we are advised to contact Cheshire Police on an 0845 number.

We live in West Yorkshire.

I note that the Home Secretary believes the police should visit anyone reporting a crime. They won't do many home visits per day criss- crossing the country!

I wonder If they've told Cheshire police there figures will go up as a result.

I think the leaflets are being distributed all over the country. We have received one today.

Perhaps now we will read less about cases similar to the recent Barwell investigation, which appears to have put the Home Office, Councils, Police and other agencies in a very bad light!.

But as usual we will have to wait and see if its talk talk and nothing else.
