Still not sure if the "Today" programme this morning had a April Fool. They claimed trains in a region were having extended bar codes painted on the engine sections and a smart phone app would allow you to see the route etc and if the train was on time - a modern day train spotting geek's app. Surely a joke?

I've just got back from shopping. Driving through the village a number of cars had yellow 'parking fine' cards tucked under the windscreen.
