New Windows 8 logo

What do you think of the new Windows 8 logo?

We think it looks spookily like the logo for Windows 1.0.

Will a bland and simply functional logo lead to a bland and functional O/S?

  simonjary 17:06 PM 14 Feb 12

Let's at least hope it's functional!

I can't see me changing to Win8 anytime soon, so the logo is of no interest to me.

Bring out Win8 and it's kiddie squares for mobiles but leave Win7 alone. It works.

ME & Vista on launch??

I would have preferred an even simpler logo...

perhaps O O O O O O O O
with the. w. i. n. d. o. w. s. 8 characters inside the 'windows'

Hobbits like round windows, you know!

To some people, logo's are a very important part of their world. They have to have trainers with the right logo. Or handbag with the right tag.

I myself am from the other end of the spectrum. What it says on the tin isn't as important to me as what is in the tin.

I don't like it.

  wiz-king 06:27 AM 15 Feb 12

It would look better with one section in stained glass with the 'normal' windows logo. (and perhaps a falling angel for Office) grin

Carrying on from AitchBEE's theme

How about

Fruit Bat /\0/\, I like your suggestion. There are 10 sorts of people who will understand that - those who do and those who don't.
