A new record

The April issue of PCA arrived on the last day of January.

This is just getting silly.

I think the next poll should be "Should we dump the cover date and go for issue numbers?"

Let's assume I'm a caual purchaser.

I go to the bookstall and pick up the February copy and think, 'I'm in luck, I've got the latest copy, fresh off the press.'

I'd call it deceipt.

I may well have spelt that wrong but you get the gist.

It's been discussed a number of times already.

It prolongs the shelf life of the magazine by confusing people as has been mentioned.

Magazines are a thing of the past anyway. You can get all your info online without paying for book of adverts.

"It prolongs the shelf life of the magazine by confusing people as has been mentioned."

That's rubbish, newsagents pull any remaining old copies as soon as the new issue is out, they then return the mastheads for a refund and chuck the magazines in the recycling...
