but its the constantly updated webcam images that make the site ;)

You can actually see what the situation is rather than just read a report

Sethhaniel, yes there is nothing like actually seeing the webcam pictures.
Good site.

I see what you mean.

Like you I don't think there is an England equivalent although some Cities like London, Bristol and Sheffield can be seen on the net.

I usually find many of the cameras are not working, but when they are the pictures are good.

There are webcams available for all areas on the BBC website - normally they can be found for the web page covering the area.

Or see:

Sethhaniel
not sure if you live or work up "North" but your right. Its another good use of "t`interweb" as Yorkshire folk call it.
I used to live in South Queensferry, just below Forth Road Bridge, and worked over the water in Pitreavie.
Lovely part of the world.
Good people, beautiful country, and cracking views when the weathers good.
Never had a problem getting over the Forth Road Bridge, apart from one occasion when wind was blowing a tad. And to top it all, Edinburgh is just down the road. (Good night out)
But as you say, the latest technology is a big help when you have to travel, be it for work or leisure.
Hope it doesn`t blow too much for you on the road up North.
