Well, for me and others in my area, we have poor broadband speeds here, I get 1.5 meg, some of my friends struggle to keep a good connection at around a third of that. Read yesterday that a fibre optic upgrade coming in 2010 giving speeds of 40m rising to 60m in the future for our town. click here
Was outside this morning taking down Christmas lights and saw a BT engineer working at manhole 100 yards from my house. Wandered up to chat to him and he told me he is doing the survey work for the cabling to the box there, we are in the first phase so hopefully by spring. Can't wait!

Well, when you're enjoying your sizzling new broadband speed, spare a thought for those of us who live in the back of beyond, and still get their broadband via a piece of string and two baked-bean cans.
