Minimum alcohol price reprieve in Scotland

click here I know a lot of you will agree with the minimum pricing, but in reality the extra cash would have been found by just reducing the amount spent on the kids food and clothes out of the weekly GIRO. Whatever the cure is, it ain't the pricing out tactic.

Eight Ace will be sighing with relief...

tends to point to minimum pricing actually having a reductive (is that a word) effect on consumption, however, probably not on the target audience of hard core problem drinkers.

It would certainly reduce my consumption, to a couple of glasses of sherry a week, instead of one a day.

I think you may be right, and I am always cynically amused by the ease with which the opposition parties in Scotland combine to speak with one voice, no matter what the subject, if there's any chance of criticising Salmond and his policies.

Are they that afraid?

They should just stand back and let him get on with it.

He would do their job for them!
