This scientist's 'holy grail' has finally been achieved some forty years after he first pondered the idea. Will be some time yet before finalising for production, but it means a memory that remembers its data and affords instant switch on for laptops, desktops and the mobile phone industry. I just love the fact that Moore's Law is still being chased – it lifts the spirits. However shoving the amount of bits and pieces possible now on a 12" x 13.8" board will need some juice and one hell of a lot of cooling. Things will have to get bigger at some point.
