If you notice that the site runs a little slower for a few hours this evening

it will be because of this

It may not happen, but we wanted to warn you in advance - site traffic is already showing signs of a rapid and considerable increase. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

This site always runs slow for me at least. I blame the adverts. Reason being, my browser tells me at the bottom that its waiting for XXX.com (usually doubleclick, but they arent the only one. Powerlinks come a close second, imho, followed by googleads).

It's good to hear that - in the main - you haven't experienced a slow-down. Site traffic is very high right now, and as far as I can see the forum pages are loading perfectly, with no delays on my machine.

Long may it continue.

Seems like, for a change, an all-round Thanks to the backroom boys/gals!

I hope I have not now put the cobblers on the site!

Any chance that a decision could be made about the floating red bar?

It has been absent for a week. Last night it returned and this morning gone

Or is it my system??

Personally I like it.
