The last time brumas mentioned A Frayed Knot it was something to do with Al Fyed and Harrods.So maybe this is near Harrods in older times.So will say somewhere in london.

As stated it is on the Great Western Road at its junction with Byres road.I have just googled it and the Tudor type building is very similar although the other large buidings are now gone.
