By heck Jock1e talk about going the extra mile! Now at least we can count Jersey out. It wasn't uncommon in those days to use any old postcard from anywhere to send on, early recycling I suppose ;o}

I think most likely English - stamp and postmark

Britain from above is being much help either as it doesn't er Channel Islands.
