I am missing out somewhere

In all my years surfing the net, since the mid/late 90's, on this Forum and others I have heard about Porn popping up, just like that, quite unintentionally, accidentally, to my great embarrassment, etc.

Now, in all those years I must have visited a considerable number of Porn Sites - intentionally.

However, in all those years I have never had one just Pop-up on me.

What am I doing wrong?

This is, of course, is a rhetorical question!

My Inglish is not to good but

"What am I doing wrong?

This is, of course, is a rhetorical question!"

Does that not contradict itself.

As to porn pop up's. I do not remember any flashing on my screen.

Looks like you have your system well protected.

Some systems can be configured to auto open web pages and a mis-spelling on a search can bring surprising results.

Bumpkin - you've lost me.

I think that what I'm really saying is.

I don't believe those that say "This Porn stuff accidentally jumped out at me"

wee eddie, may I suggest you google the word that bumpkin posted.

Totally agree with your 11:44 post wee eddie, of course it can happen but it is not common a we are being led to believe.

I don't get porn pop-ups but a few years ago I did get a really disgusting email involving rape, etc. I did report it.

It's obvious - you are using search engines with several words or phrases that cannot be misconstrued as porn terms and dont blindly click before reading.

I am like you and dont get any porn pop-ups.

"...it is not common a we are being led to believe."

Who is leading you to believe that it's common? I'm not aware of anyone trying to do that.
