HTTrack 3.33 Gnu Software or Illegal Copy?

  Pesala 19:52 27 Jun 05

While browsing an offline website generated by HTTrack 3.33 click here I got a message saying that a file was not retrieved by "Teleport Pro" because it was not on the original server.

Teleport Pro is a very similar program, but it is not freeware. It looks like it may be the subject of a legal battle, judging from this notice on their home page: click here

Does anyone know any more about this particular case? It seems like the bigger companies could misappropriate the rights of individual software authors by taking out patents on their ideas, because individuals don't have the financial resources to patent their own ideas.
