...Products, search for DC motors.

Are you asking for help, or making a statement about your replacement cost? I followed your link, but am still none the wiser. If you're looking for a motor for a gliderol, then try googling for gliderol motor. (I just did and there looked like plenty of results).

The motor is one of those in my link, can't use any other than a Preslite.

The bill has put me in the red.

Have you tried looking for a used one? like on ebay?

You asked 'How much to replace the motor on my garage door?' and yet it looks as if you already know.

Like WhiteTruckMan, I'm afraid I don't understand.

eh?

  Graham. 14:15 16 Feb 08

Yes I do know, and I am in a state of shock. It was £405.37.

I agree, but then you're probably talking about a pretty high-quality motor, and I expect it will have a long operating life.

Do you get any part-exchange allowance for the old motor?

Replace the whole door with one of those Up and Over ones. Much cheaper.

for a motor rewinders/reconditionerers etc, and see if you cant get the old one rebuilt.
