Heavy hitters target Microsoft.

IBM, Sun Microsystems, Adobe, Nokia and others have complained to the EU on the grounds that Vista "will perpetuate practices declared illegal three years ago".

It seems they believe Vista will be used to lock out interoperability with alternative systems. By continuing to use proprietary formats in Vista, Microsoft is in contravention of the agreement made in 2004 and I guess (more to the point), has not taken the judgement seriously.

The first judgement is still effectively under appeal, so will this start a new EU v Microsoft fight, or will they all wait for the result of the appeal before any further action is initiated?

My bets on the later, but if Microsoft looses it's appeal, I would suspect further action to come.
