Seen WatchDog last night and tried to check my insurance details here. Waste oftime as it is sooo slow to load. Why are they so incompetent??
Really annoys me.

rickf - glad to see you've calmed down now!

I didn't see the Watchdog article but this check just confirms that the car is insured, it doesn't show who is insured to drive the car.

You have to verify that you own the vehicle, so I assume the site thinks the checker is the insured?.

Police have a different database, and direct contact with insurance companies. They would soon find out, who is and who isn't ;o)

Regarding yesterdays Watchdog program, raised two points in my mind.

(1) With the rogue roofer, would the filmed evidence of the very near miss be acceptable for a police investigation and possible prosecution?.

(2) Would the Royal Mail be eligible for wrongful practices?.
